Do not ignore what just happened with these two exits

Two positions closed strong today — and what's left on the board may be more important.

Today's market and our positions

Two trades closed today. Both were winners. IOVA booked +59% over 26 days. TWST booked +31% over 22 days. Each exit was triggered by the Relative Strength Engine's trailing stop — the system rode the momentum, then stepped aside the moment it faded. Clean. Disciplined. Exactly what the system is built to do. SPY finished up +0.58%, settling around $579.33. The broad market felt orderly — no drama, no fireworks. Just a quiet close with two very tidy postmortems to write.

What our open trades are doing

TEAM is the strongest live position on the board right now. Three separate entries — day 28, day 27, and day 6 — are sitting at +7.85%, +6.79%, and +4.12% respectively. The Relative Strength Engine has been layering into this name across weeks, and so far, that conviction is being rewarded. Alpha on the oldest position stands at +5.66%. That's not noise — that's the thesis working. CRNX is the puzzling one. Fourteen open positions, every single one showing +0.00% in current price terms, each entered somewhere between $83.93 and $84.99. The stock simply hasn't moved. The Relative Strength Engine flagged it repeatedly over a two-month stretch, kept opening positions, and none of them have done a thing. Meanwhile, SPY has been quietly grinding higher — so on an alpha basis, every one of these positions is slightly underwater. This one is on the watch list. HURN (day 8) sits at -1.03% against a +1.95% SPY day. Not a crisis yet, but lagging the market on an up day is exactly the wrong kind of relative strength. HTFL (day 7) is flat, holding its ground without doing much either way. CAI is the one that stings. Day 5 is at -4.10% and day 2 is at -5.98%. Both entries came in near $28–29; the stock is now trading around $27.45. The Relative Strength Engine opened both positions expecting strength that hasn't shown up. We're not managing out manually — the stops are doing that job — but this name is getting close attention.

Today's closed trades, post-mortem

IOVA closed today after a 26-day hold. Entry: $8.15. Exit: $12.96. Return: +59.02%. SPY gained +1.94% over the same window. Alpha: +57.08%. The exit came via trailing win stop — the system rode the move as far as it would go, then stepped aside when momentum rolled over. Textbook execution from the Relative Strength Engine. TWST closed after 22 days. Entry: $135.76. Exit: $177.52. Return: +30.76%. SPY gained +2.87% over that same stretch. Alpha: +27.90%. Same mechanism — the trail stop triggered as the stock gave back a little off the top. Still a strong outcome by any measure. Both exits follow the same script: identify a relative strength winner, let it run, and let the trailing stop decide when the story is over. Don't force the exit, don't overstay. These two closes pull the overall system track record meaningfully higher — and they're a reminder of what the engine looks like when it's working.

What could change by tomorrow's open

The CRNX cluster is the clearest risk sitting on the board. Fourteen positions, none of them moving, and SPY keeps grinding higher in the background. The alpha drag is accumulating quietly. Stops haven't been triggered yet — but the thesis needs to start proving itself, and time isn't unlimited. CAI already has two positions in negative territory, both carrying alpha deficits above 5%. If the stock continues sliding tomorrow, stops could get triggered. That's the system doing exactly what it should — but it would mean two more closed losers if the tape doesn't cooperate. HURN is early and the loss is still small, but one data point is worth flagging: a +0.58% SPY day paired with a -1.03% stock day is precisely the opposite of what brings the Relative Strength Engine into a name. One more session like that and its stop level moves from background noise to something worth watching in real time.

What we're watching tomorrow

Day 67. The system sits at +3.7% alpha since inception on this experiment. Two winners closed today — and a few names that still need to prove they belong. Tomorrow morning the engines run the full scan again. With CAI on thin ice and CRNX stuck in neutral, there's a real chance something breaks one way or another before midday. We'll be watching.
