Our engines are watching one data center stock coil tighter

564% or higher when the market doesn’t move? There’s a program with a history of finding stock winners …
On the market’s quietest days. Feb. 18, 2025, was a day of no action.
Yet this algorithm recommended a stock that went up 610%.
Oct. 18, 2021, was another boring day. But this software recommended a 564% winner that day.
April 10, 2023? Another tame day, another big win.790% since then in fact.
So how did it do it?
Why no trade today
DLR has been coiling at $203.32 — just above a consolidation high of $195.56 — and the Breakout Engine has been watching it closely. Score: 58.9 out of 100. That clears our minimum threshold of 50, which technically puts it on the watchlist. But 58.9 isn't a number that inspires confidence. Volume came in at 7.34x average, well above the 1.5x floor we require, and price is sitting within 4% of the range high. The pieces are there. What's missing is the clean breakout confirmation that would push the score into territory where pulling the trigger actually makes sense. So we didn't. No trade today. Instead, we're holding our long SPY position and letting the market breathe while the engines keep scanning.
Three names we're watching closest
DLR is a data center REIT, which means it runs on its own clock — less tied to the broad tape on any given day, more sensitive to rate narratives and AI infrastructure spending cycles. That consolidation high at $195.56 isn't an arbitrary line. It's been tested, and it's held. When a name builds a base above a former resistance level and sits there with patience, the Breakout Engine starts looking for the moment institutions decide to act. The volume we're already seeing — 7.34x — suggests something is quietly building beneath the surface. It's just not ready yet. We're also carrying two open positions: EVC on day 10, down 10.4%, and SLS on day 3, down 1.8%. The book already has weight on it. Layering in a 58.9-conviction trade doesn't improve that picture.
What would trigger us tomorrow
Here's what DLR needs to show us before the Breakout Engine fires: price pushing through $195.56 on volume that holds at 1.5x or better — ideally a clean intraday move that doesn't immediately roll back over. The score would need to climb, and we'd want the setup to tighten rather than loosen. If those conditions show up tomorrow morning, the engine scores it again at open. Entry would land just above the breakout level, with a stop placed below the consolidation base — exact numbers get published the moment a trade fires. Until then, DLR stays on the radar. Not in the book.
The cost of waiting (or forcing it)
Waiting isn't free. DLR could break out tomorrow and leave us behind, or the setup could quietly unwind and we move on. That's the tradeoff — and it's one we're making deliberately. Forcing a trade at 58.9 to avoid missing a move is how you compound losing streaks, not sidestep them. We're on day 14 of this experiment. The system sits at -1.7%, SPY sits at -1.7%, alpha is flat, and the win rate stands at 0-for-3. None of that is an argument for lowering the bar — if anything, it's a reminder that the threshold exists precisely for moments like this.
One more thought before we go
Day 14 feels less like a market test and more like a patience test. DLR is interesting. Just not interesting enough — not yet. The real question is whether tomorrow morning hands us the confirmation today didn't, or whether the setup fades and the engines move on to the next name worth watching.
